In response to the Springfield City Council vote on May 17, 2021, face masks are no longer required to visit the Springfield Art Museum beginning on May 28, 2021. However, face masks and social distancing will still be welcomed at our facility.Beginning July 26, 2021, unvaccinated Museum employees must wear face masks. Vaccinated Museum employees may choose to mask at their discretion. All public programs remain cancelled through October 1, 2021, pending a measurable decline in COVID-19 hospitalizations in our community. The Family Art Lab and Book Nook remain closed through October 1, 2021, as well.As a department of the City of Springfield, Missouri, The Museum has been closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) reports on COVID-19 and following recommendations and ordinances from City leadership, the Springfield-Greene County Health Department, the state of Missouri, and the federal government.The Museum appreciates our patrons’ continued patience and understanding as we navigate constantly changing public service operating guidelines during this ongoing public health situation.
