The Springfield Art Museum invites you to Art In Bloom, our signature event celebrating fine art and fantastic floral displays. This three day festival invites floral designers from throughout the region to imaginatively interpret works of art on view in the Museum’s galleries and presents them alongside those works for your enrapt enjoyment.

Art In Bloom includes prize categories for featured florists including People’s Choice Award, an incredible preview party with a nature-inspired runway show, floral arranging workshops, and more! Proceeds from Art In Bloom events benefit the Museum’s art acquisition and exhibition efforts. To date, Art In Bloom has welcomed over 3,500 patrons, raised over $45,000, and awarded $4,000 in prize money. Join us for this one-of-a-kind event inspired by spring!

ART IN BLOOM PAID EVENTS

Preview Party: Friday, April 29, 2022, 6:30 - 9 PM
ADVANCE TICKET SALES HAVE CLOSED.

Includes wine, small bites, desserts from Split Social Kitchen, live music from 83 Skidoo featuring Kristi Merideth, and a stunning floral fashion show coordinated by Jennifer Vaughn and Joseph Pyatt.

Floral Arranging Workshops: 

Join us for floral arranging workshops inspired by Art In Bloom led by Stephanie Hornickel, Queen City Blooms. $50 workshop tickets include all materials, courtesy of Mears Floral Products. These are the perfect events for anyone interested in the art of floral arrangement. All skill levels are welcome. Workshops will sell out, so purchase your tickets in advance!

Fresh Floral Arranging Workshop: SOLD OUT!
Saturday, April 30, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
All materials included.

In this workshop, participants will learn how to take store-bought or foraged bundles of flowers from floral shops, grocery stores, farmers markets, or your own yard and augment them to create a vased arrangement that is sure to impress.  

Dried Floral Arranging Workshop:
Saturday, April 30, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM 
Workshop Ticket $50; All materials included. 

In this workshop, participants will learn about the art of floral preservation, creating their own floral memory box - a lasting work of wall art or decor - utilizing dried florals and shadow boxes.

ART IN BLOOM FREE EVENTS

Public Viewing Hours with Free Admission: Saturday, April 30, 10 AM - 6PM & Sunday, May 1, 1 PM - 5 PM.

*Purchase People’s Choice Award votes in the Museum’s Lobby for $1 per vote and cast your ballot all weekend long!

Hickory Lane Plants Pop-Up Shop & 417 Floral Bus Co.: Saturday, April 30, 10 AM - 6 PM.

Shop Hickory Lane Plants, Springfield’s first mobile plant truck greenhouse specializing in houseplants, and 417 Floral Bus Co., the newest mobile floral shop in town, in the Museum’s parking lot.

Family Art Lab Floral Art Fun: Sunday, May 1, 3 – 5 PM

Join Museum staff in the Family Art Lab to create your own floral-inspired artwork.
