Art Classes & Workshops

The Springfield Art Museum offers a variety of classes for children and adults, including drawing, painting and pottery.  Classes run for 8 weeks and are offered in the fall, winter, and spring.  Fall 2018 classes will begin the third week of September, and registration will begin in August.

Workshops for Adults:

Enamel Pendant Workshop:

Experience the ancient process of fusing glass to metal while making a pendant to give to someone special or for keeps. 
Saturday, July 14 
12-2pm Ages 18 and up
3-5pm Ages 12-and up  
2 hour workshop, materials included.

Classes for Adults:

Classes for adults include drawing, painting, ceramics, metalwork and mixed media offerings.

Classes for Kids and Teens:

Classes for kids and teens vary, but generally include pottery and drawing.

Class Refund Policy: 

Courses may be cancelled due to low enrollment.  You will be notified and given a full refund if a course for which you are registered does not have sufficient enrollment.

You can withdraw from a course and receive a full refund after the first class meeting.  You must request your refund before the second class meeting.  After that time, there will be no refunds.

On days when Springfield Public Schools are cancelled due to weather, classes at the Art Museum are also cancelled.  Make-up classes are scheduled at the discretion of the instructor.  

In the case of Saturday classes, instructors will contact students by email or phone if class is cancelled due to severe weather.
