THE MUSEUM REMAINS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC THROUGH APRIL 28, 2020.

In response to the 30 day Stay-At-Home order issued by the City of Springfield and Greene County on March 24, 2020, the Springfield Art Museum will remain closed to the public until Tuesday, April 28, 2020. This is a further attempt to assist in efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 in our community. The Museum will reassess the status of public operations on April 28.

As a department of the City of Springfield, Missouri, The Museum has been closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) reports on COVID-19 and following recommendations and ordinances from City leadership, the Springfield-Greene County Health Department, the state of Missouri, and the federal government.

All public programs and events remain cancelled until May 11. We will continue to monitor the situation daily and make additional refinements to our disease prevention procedures as necessary. Security and climate systems remain in operation.

The Museum appreciates our patrons’ continued patience and understanding as we navigate quickly changing public service operating guidelines during this unprecedented public health crisis.

For more information and guidelines for COVID-19, please visit the Springfield-Greene County Health Department’s website (https://www.springfieldmo.gov/5068/Coronavirus) or the CDC’s website: (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html). The Springfield Art Museum is located at 1111 East Brookside Drive. Donations are gratefully accepted.
